Wow!

I am so rubbish at keeping this up to date. I will try harder. The facebook group does get updated much more regularly so that is a good point of call. You can find it here.

Anyway despite a lack of blogging there has been much going on in the woods. We have a new culvert and there is now a circular route within the reserve. There has been digging, planting, clearing and burning.

Mark G has been in touch with a huge number of different organisations and we are hoping to enter into a relationship with Watercare to improve the quality of the water. Severn Trent have been heavily involved with the intermittent pollution of the stream and pond but there is still quite a lot to do.

Applying for funds is also a massive aim and hopefully there will be some successful bids in the future.

The friends of Holly Wood group has been a massive part of moving the nature reserve foward and improving this green space so significiantly. It was lobely to have our hard work recognised at Sandwells Community Award. We were the proud recipents of the Cleaner Greener Award!
